The Delta County Non-motorized Trail organization (DCNT) will be having a Womens Mountain Bike Clinic on June 19th from 1 to 4pm at Days River Trails in Delta County.
This one-day clinic includes approximately 3 hours of teaching and will work on fundamentals of body positioning, balance, bike body separation, braking, shifting, ratcheting, switchbacks, steering, rock dodging, climbing and cornering. There will be some time to practice on obstacles, then move on to the trail and work on technical spots and test out learned skills.
The clinic is going to be taught by Lynn Wolf who is a certified MTB instructor and there will be introductory as well as intermediate training.
The DCNT encourages participants to bring their bike, helmet and any other safety equipment used while riding. The DCNT has a limited number of mountain bikes available, so if in need please call Steve Kobasic at 906-360-8124 to make arrangements in advance.
Participants must be 18 and older. To register go to DCNTrails.com. The cost for the workshop is $35.00 for members and $45.00 for non members.
