***UPDATE - EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO POOR TRAIL CONDITIONS***![]()
We're excited to partner with the Hiawatha National Forest to host Winter Trails Day at Rapid River Ski Trail on February 18th! We will have kids skis available on-site for free use thanks to our generous donors and adult skis are available for rent at Brampton Bike & Ski. Snowshoes will also be available for free use thanks to the Clear Lake Education Center! Sit skis will be available through Equipment Loans of the Keweenaw (ELK) for individuals with disabilities and anyone else interested in giving it a try.

Thank You to everyone that showed up for our Public Meeting this week! It was great to share some updates and hear public input about nonmotorized trails!![]()
For those of you who couldn't make the meeting. We shared some exciting news! The DNR has partnered with MDOT to secure $350,000 in funding to continue construction of single track trails at the Days River Pathway. They have signed on with Rock Solid Trail Contracting, LLC. to design the remaining 9 miles of single track trail over the next couple of years! What started as a dream many years ago is finally becoming a reality. ![]()

We are proud to have been a part of this project to improve year round access to the West Side Recreation Area with wooden boardwalks along with the addition of all new signage along the trails! ![]()
A big thanks to the many volunteers to made all of this work possible along with financial contributions from Escanaba Rotary, Rotary District 6220 Hannahville Indian Community, Community Foundation for Delta County and Visit Escanaba!![]()
